Panels
All Panels wil take place in Presentation Room 2 in the convention centre. Each Panel will be approximately one hour long including a Q&A section at the end. We currently have a special keynote speaker booked and a few additional spots still open. If you have worked in the industry, have experience speaking in front of crowds or want to showcase your talent, apply now!
Cosplay Contest
The Cosplay Contest will be open to cosplayers of all ages and experience and will include a children's costume contest. In order to take part in the cosplay contest, please fill out an application form. More details will be available shortly.
Demos
Throughout the day, artists will be performing demos where you can watch them create an image and ask questions.

Comic-book Superheroes and Our Culture
May to June - Sidney Museum
This special exhibit will bring to life the gold, silver, bronze and modern age of comic books and what was happening in the world at the time to influence the characters and stories. Displays will include details about famous characters such as their first appearance and who created them. The exhibit will also include interactive displays and demonstrations.
Is there a Superhero in you?
June 2, 2017, 2:00 - 3:30 pm. Sidney Library
Dr. Paul Zehr will answer the question, “Is There a Superhero in You?” Dr. Zehr is a professor at the University of Victoria and author of the books, "Becoming Batman" and "Inventing Iron Man". His talk will explore classic comic book superheroes such as Batman, Ironman and Batgirl who are just human, and relate them back to regular people.
Big Hero 6 - Outdoor Movie with Panorama Recreation
June 10, 2017, 8:00 pm, Greenglade Community Centre
Bring along the whole family for a special showing of the Oscar winning “Big Hero 6”. This inspiring movie won the 2015 Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film. The movie is set in the fictional city of San Fransokyo and focuses on Hiro Hamada, a brilliant, young robotics prodigy. With the help of his friends and some enhancements provided by Hiro, they set off to save the city from an unknown, evil villain.
